Some home design Tips - Kitchen

I have a natural incline towards home design and development. I am always looking for magazines , programs on TV that shall provide me with ideas to design my home or so to say my dream home. I shall share such tips on Kitchen in this blog .

In the kitchen use a custom made iron frame and place a granite block over it. This shall be used as a small eat out table in kitchen as well as nice stand for blender, microwave, sandwich maker, coffee maker etc and shall be able to provide you with some extra space in kitchen leave you with more space on your kitchen counter tops.

Never build shelves above counter top in kitchen as it shall lead to excess effort on keeping them clean. Instead always build lots of cabinets and drawers below counter top.

In your kitchen drawers just don't keep them plain but  instead divide them with some aluminium or wood frames into various shapes and sizes to be able to keep different types of spoons, knives, forks, in different sections and be able to grab them easily in hour of need.

In one off the cabinets below put some hanging stand on the ceiling so as to be able to hang different non stick pans easily and be able to grab them without annoying other pans.

To store your pulses and cereals make a sectional revolving stand in one of the cabinets. So you can place all the containers in just one shelf and be able to grab them by revolving the shelf.
It is good idea to have colored glass doors for kitchen cabinets  as we used to have in older havelis in India instead of traditional wood. It shall add more color to kitchen  and by using colored glass none will be able to see whats mess is behind the glass doors.

It is a good idea to have windows just above the gas counter top to be able to open it for Indian cooking and also have a great view of outside while working in kitchen. If you can place some small plants just outside kitchen window that would be great.

If having a window is not an option then try using a stainless steel sheet instead of ceramic tiles just above gas counter top so as to be able to easily clean it.

Stars and their status updates so similar to us ?????

Lately we have been following many people through their status updates on twitter or facebook or orkut.
We have been following their photograph updates as well as their mere status change in words.

After religiously following people and friends for so long on Twitter , Facebook and Orkut I realized their are few type of people on earth.

  1. Who always want to be in news. These are the people who posts status changes every now and then even if they have just boarded a flight. (Karan Johar)
  2. Who never want to be in news. These are the people who will not post in any circumstances even if they get married.(I don't know of such people)
  3. Who always want to look Good and be praised for their looks. These are the people who will post any and every type of snap be it mere doing yoga in big sun glasses.(Shilpa Shetty)
  4. Who never want to look good or even disguise people into thinking what they might look like ? These are the people who never even post their profile pix. (Sachin Tendulkar as he has not posted his pix on Twitter)

Recently I realized We have an element within us which is so common with big Stars or so to say these stars are so much like us.

Karan Johar posting pix of Gauri and frens on Dinner is similar to us because we have been doing this for so long posting same kind of pix with our spouse and  friends. We have a character within us which is so common with them. We want people to know constantly what we are upto .

I remember Sachin complaining on twitter that no one commented when he added a pix to his Twitter page. The way Sachin feels bad that none commented on his profile pix; is similar to the way we feel when none comment on pix posted by us. Its like none in the hell care about us or follow us ?

We have something in common with Shilpa Shetty too ........because her recent status updates on her  detoxifying trip to a Spa is same as when we like to flaunt our new hairstyle through our updates.

We even share with Shahrukh as the way he keeps speaking about his children even we like to speak about our kids and their growing phases 3 months,  6 months etc.

Global warming

Global Warming is the phenomenon of annual rise in atmospheric temperature all over the world. This rise in temperature has been mainly seen in recent times; more over recent 50 years. There are many reasons for this phenomenon. Major reason identified is the greenhouse effect of the rising pollution and massive tree cutting. In a greenhouse, heat from the sun enters the glass. The heat in the form of infra-red light bounces and heads back up towards the glass. The glass then allows only some of this heat to escape, but reflects back another portion. This heat remains within the greenhouse. In the case of planet Earth, there is no glass, but there is an atmosphere which retains heat or releases heat. In the prehistoric times, the Earth had no problems, since the composition of the atmosphere remained RELATIVELY constant, so heat was released or retained in a regular manner. However, with humans came technology, technology to build big polluting machines. These machines, in the burning of fossil fuels quickly added carbon monoxide and dioxide to the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide readily retains heat. With more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, more heat is kept in the Earth, and a warming trend begins.
Both, increase in pollution and massive tree cutting are the major problem of developing and developed economies.  The urban civilization in its race for development and progress has completely neglected the environment of our earth. Large number of pollution generating factories has been established over a small period of time and never ever has the governments or factory owners realized that the chemicals emitted from these factories into our atmosphere can be so dangerous that finally they will result in global warming. Since the trees were also cut at the same rate as factories were established, so it has created a more dangerous situation because though trees can pure atmosphere by their natural photosynthesis process but since their number has reduced so atmospheric air cannot be cleaned by the natural process.
Global warming has resulted in many disadvantages like rise in water level, polluted air, ozone hole, droughts , excessive rains, change in temperatures and weather globally, less fertile soil, less growth of crops, decrease in underground water level , scarcity of drinking water to name a few. Though many of these problems are not directly related to global warming but they are indirectly related to global warming; like soil erosion and washing away of nutrients in soil by excessive rain result in less fertile soil and finally less growth of crops.
Though urbanization was for the good of mankind but unplanned and rapid civilization has resulted in great danger for entire mankind. When today developing and under developed countries have to fight against poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, they also have to face the challenges posed by global warming thus increasing their problems by twofold and hampering their development rate by manifolds. Even today mankind has not learnt the lessons and 90% of the population over the world is unaware about global warming its causes and its effects.  This is the moral responsibility of each and every individual today to learn the lesson from their mistakes and make an effort towards fighting against global warming. There is not much of effort required and this problem can be faced and dealt with very easily if each human being understand his role in environment conversation and does his bit to help converse trees, water, oil and every available natural resource. Consuming electricity, water oil efficiently and cautiously, using alternate forms of energy like, wind, water, solar e, and Planting more and more trees. Taking every effort required towards recycling of non degradable components like plastic. Small steps taken today shall surely reap good fruits in future to create a world where mankind can live in harmony with MOTHER NATURE.
